‼Non è stato affatto semplice organizzare nelle tante riunioni propedeutiche all’audizione organizzare la suddivisione tra i partecipanti d tutti i concetti che volevano trasmettere e far arrivare davvero a tutti: oltre alle nostre storie da danneggiati che era importante portare perché per i più non esistiamo, volevamo fondamentalmente trasmettere informazioni giuridiche, informazioni sanitarie, sottolineare le nostre richieste e far emergere le nostre proposte, riportare dati, riportare la realtà dei fatti di quanto ci accade e che abbiamo sperimentato in questi anni.

Abbiamo dato tutto, con il cuore e con le competenze tecniche. Due facce della stessa medaglia imprescindibili.

All the different sides of this iconic musician can be found on Freddie Mercury: Messenger Of The Gods - The Singles. All formats released September 2nd 2016.

This memorable video, Directed by David Mallet, accompanied Freddie Mercury's seventh solo single. This is a cover version originally recorded by The Platters in the 1960s. The two 'lady' backing vocalists are none other than Freddie's good friends Peter Straker and a certain Mr Roger Taylor, from a band called Queen. The single was released in the UK on 23 February 1987.

This was Freddie Mercury's first single from the 1985 'Mr Bad Guy' album - his first solo album. The Director was David Mallet and it was shot entirely at Limehouse Studios in London. The single was released in the UK on 9th April 1985.

BAND AID - How the Money is Spent

In the financial year to 30 November 2024 Band Aid has awarded grants of £3m across 16 projects to date.
Activities in 2024 include:

Provision of life saving medicines and medical supplies
Access to basic healthcare for rural communities
Strengthening the support of health services in Tigray
Therapeutic food for malnourished children and vulnerable adults
Emergency grain supplies
Drought resistant crops
Income generating activities and vocational training
Construction of basic housing to support old and vulnerable people
Construction of emergency shelters for refugees
Provision of clean water and sanitation training across multiple refugee camps in Ethiopia
Training to prevent gender-based violence in communities
Hygiene and sanitation support for adolescent girls
Construction of schools and libraries, and provision of classroom furniture
Cash distributions for vulnerable households
Rehabilitation of boreholes and wells for schools and communities
School feeding programmes in Tigray to support children returning to education

The estimated number of beneficiaries totals more than 350,000 people.

Money raised from BandAid40 will continue to fund similar activities in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries.
