Twenty-five years after 9/11, filmmaker Massimo Mazzucco says the evidence challenging the official account is readily available—but the 9/11 truth movement can undermine its own case when it becomes consumed by arguments over competing theories.
In this Checkpoint 25 interview, Exposing 9/11's Craig McKee speaks with Mazzucco, creator of the landmark five-hour documentary September 11: The New Pearl Harbor, about the film, the evidence it examines, and what he learned from years of confronting the arguments of 9/11 debunkers.
Mazzucco explains why he structured The New Pearl Harbor around a claim → response → counter-response format, allowing viewers to hear both the challenges to the official account and the answers offered by debunkers—and then judge whether those answers actually withstand scrutiny.
He also recalls the extraordinary reaction when his earlier 9/11 documentary was broadcast on prime-time television in Italy. Mazzucco says the program drew 6.5 million viewers and helped ignite a national debate over 9/11 that continued for years—something he contrasts with the reluctance of North American mainstream media to seriously engage the subject.
The conversation turns to some of the most contentious questions within the 9/11 truth movement, including the Pentagon and Shanksville. Mazzucco argues that researchers don't have to establish precisely what happened in order to demonstrate that an official explanation is false.

Parleremo anche della proposta di una nuova associazione tra Canada e UE e della reazione di Trump.
Sul fronte Russia-Ucraina analizzeremo il racconto mediatico del presunto attentato a Zelensky e le successive smentite, il voto americano sulle nuove sanzioni, gli allarmi polacchi e le elezioni della Duma segnate dall’assenza di una reale opposizione. Affronteremo inoltre le contestazioni russe all’ONU sui dati delle vittime di Bucha e la militarizzazione dello spazio, con le reazioni di Mosca e Pechino agli armamenti statunitensi in orbita.
Il rapporto tra potere e libertà d’informazione torna nel caso degli autori di “Naza”, bersaglio di accuse e minacce di revoca della cittadinanza in Israele. Spazio anche al Medio Oriente: le dichiarazioni di Crosetto sull’intervento della Marina nel Mar Rosso, la posizione iraniana sulla fine dell’ordine unipolare e la risoluzione della Camera americana che chiede di fermare le operazioni in Iran o ottenere l’autorizzazione del Congresso.
Ci occuperemo poi del lotto contaminato di vaccino veterinario collegato alla morte di cani in Russia, distinguendo gli accertamenti dalle ipotesi di sabotaggio avanzate dall’azienda.
Infine, l’intelligenza artificiale: Amodei accusa l’industria di aver mentito sui rischi, mentre Trump liquida gli allarmi come bufale. Intanto si moltiplicano i progetti di guida autonoma in Europa.

In the financial year to 30 November 2024 Band Aid has awarded grants of £3m across 16 projects to date.
Activities in 2024 include:
Provision of life saving medicines and medical supplies
Access to basic healthcare for rural communities
Strengthening the support of health services in Tigray
Therapeutic food for malnourished children and vulnerable adults
Emergency grain supplies
Drought resistant crops
Income generating activities and vocational training
Construction of basic housing to support old and vulnerable people
Construction of emergency shelters for refugees
Provision of clean water and sanitation training across multiple refugee camps in Ethiopia
Training to prevent gender-based violence in communities
Hygiene and sanitation support for adolescent girls
Construction of schools and libraries, and provision of classroom furniture
Cash distributions for vulnerable households
Rehabilitation of boreholes and wells for schools and communities
School feeding programmes in Tigray to support children returning to education
The estimated number of beneficiaries totals more than 350,000 people.
Money raised from BandAid40 will continue to fund similar activities in Ethiopia and the surrounding countries.
